What is a Faucet in Crypto?

A crypto faucet is a website or an app that is set up to give away 100% free crypto, usually a little bit at a time.

Are Crypto Faucets Profitable?

The faucets pay out very small amounts of crypto at a time, usually fractions of a penny per each claim that you make.

In dollar amounts you don't get a large amount instantly, the secret is to use multiple faucets at a time and collect the right coins or tokens.

The more you use them the larger your free crypto collection will grow. Over time the value of your collection will also increase as the prices go up. If the crypto prices are going down then you will get more per claim as the payouts go up as the prices go down.

If you happen to live in a location where the economy is bad and a few extra US dollars a day can be a big help in getting by then crypto faucets are definitely worth using.

If you want to get some crypto but have no money to invest then the faucets are the best way to learn about the different coins and to start growing your digital assets for free.

If you want to become filthy rich using crypto faucets, while the odds are stacked against you, it is a slight possibility that you can make a very large amount of money by collecting free coins.

The next section will fill you in on the details and has a few suggestions that may help you become the latest and greatest crypto millionaire...

Can You Strike it RICH Using Free Faucets?

There are actually a few examples of people getting rich using crypto faucets...

The first example is the original crypto Bitcoin. The very first crypto faucet ever to come into existence gave away 5 free bitcoins at a time, which are now worth around $500,000 as BTC is currently hovering around the $100,000 level.

So if you were smart and/or lucky and held on to the Bitcoin that you got from that faucet and the other early crypto faucets then you are now filthy rich, congratulations to the hodlers and I feel your pain if you sold off at some point in the past.

The second example is the original meme coin DOGE; DogeCoins used to be dirt cheap and it was very easy to collect a lot of them with the free faucets. It was considered a "dead coin" as there were no updates to the blockchain so the project was dead and not being maintained.

So lots of people collected lots and lots of DOGE just for fun as it has a cute dog as a mascot and they just liked the coin.

Then it became the original meme coin thanks to the world's richest man Elon Musk becoming a fan of it. Since he put it on the map so to speak the project has been revived, the blockchain is back in action, and the price has exploded to a level that you have a lot of money if you have a million or more free dogecoins stored in a wallet somewhere.

Dogecoin is actually the very first crypto I started collecting for free, but then a lot of people were all "it's dead on arrival, collect another coin that might actually be worth something some day" so I switched away and missed that boat entirely.

It went from a fraction of a penny to a value of $.44 currently with an all time high of $.73 and the long term outlook for DOGE is for it to keep going up. There is now a US government agency called the Department of Government Efficiency named after DOGE so it is most likely gonna stick around awhile.

The third example is Shiba Inu AKA SHIB. When SHIB first launched there were a bunch of faucets where you could get a bunch of free coins as the price was really, really low. Then it went on an absolutely amazing run that resulted in gains of 17,000,000% and yes that is not a typo Shiba Inu went up seventeen million percent and lots of people made lots of money just from the coins that they collected for free on the crypto faucets.

So is it STILL a possibility to get rich with faucets after these 3 coins went through the roof? Is it gonna happen again??

I'm not sure if these ginormous returns are ever gonna happen again by using them, but I personally think that there is tons of long term money to be made with crypto faucets.

If you collect the right coins and have a little bit of luck while hodling for 5 or 10 years there should be some really nice returns on your totally free investments.

Some of my favorite coins to collect and hodl for a long time from free faucets are the popular meme coins like PEPE, BONK, SHIB, and FLOKI which are all made to decrease the amount of coins in circulation by what is known as burning. With the token burn making them more rare every time it happens + more and more people buying and collecting them every day they have potential to be very lucrative in the very long term.

I also like to grab the "crash coin" Terra Classic as LUNC at one point was worth a lot of money before it all came crashing down and was eventually replaced completely. The blockchain is still maintained and the price is super low so there is at least a possibility that another classic coin will gain in value over the long term.

The newest coins I am grabbing are the ones that are US based which are rumored to become "tax free" at some point in the future. If they do become tax free investments they will become very popular so coins like Cardano/ADA, Algorand/ALGO, Hedera/HBAR, Stellar Lumens/XLM, and Ripple/XRP which all have somewhat low price points currently could skyrocket "to the moon" in the future.

Crypto Faucet Terminology

MANUAL FAUCET

Manual faucets are the easiest type to claim from as they usually just require completing a simple captcha each time you claim from them.

Here is an example of an old school type of manual faucet where you can get free ARK, it has no ads and does not exist to turn a profit, it exists solely to give free ARK away. All you need is an ARK wallet address to start using it.

Most all of the modern manual faucets have tons of ads on them as the owners are trying to turn a profit and that is how the faucets make most of their money with ad revenue. They make X amount of money per X amount of ad views and is the reason why most faucets are jam packed with banner ads..

AUTO FAUCET

Auto faucets are some of the highest paying faucets you can find. They require you to complete different tasks to get some claim credits first and then you can choose the coin or coins you want to get and start the auto faucet and it will make all the claims for you automatically until your claim credits run out.

The best way to get a lot of credits is to use the offerwalls which have different tasks you can complete like filling out short surveys (my personal favorite way to get claim credits), installing and testing mobile apps, or playing fun games and reaching a certain level.

The best strategy to get the most free coins with auto faucets is to use more than one at a time. If you get a bunch of them running at one time then you can grow your free crypto collection at a faster pace.

SHORTLINKS

Shortlinks in the free crypto world can be a lucrative way to get claim credits and/or coins; At first glance they can be very confusing and they have a puzzle aspect to them but once you figure them out they are pretty easy to complete.

They are all different but also the same in the way that you must complete them. Most of them are several pages long, have timers that you must wait out, and often have captchas that you must complete correctly.

The key to utilizing shortlinks properly is to figure out what you need to do to move on to the next page and then ignore everything else on the page. They are jam packed with banner ads as that is the whole point, the faucet owners make money on the ad views which is why there are almost always a ton of banners on every faucet.

If you are having trouble figuring shortlinks out, try googling the name of the shortlink you want to know how to complete, "how do I complete a SHORTLINK NAME?" and you should be able to figure it out hopefully.

PTC ADS

PTC ads are "paid to click" ads or "paid to surf" ads that are simple to complete, you just need to watch the ad and keep the page open until the allotted time has run out, then you will get the claim credits for viewing the ad in it's entirety.

OFFERWALL

An offerwall is the best way to rack up a bunch of claim credits quickly, they have different types of tasks you can do like taking surveys, playing fun games, and installing and testing out mobile apps.

Most faucets have at least 1 offerwall available and if there is one it will most likely be the best way to get the most free crypto out of that particular faucet.

MICRO WALLET

A micro wallet AKA micropayment wallets are crytpo wallets that are set up to work with numerous different faucets so that you can easily withdraw all the coins that you have laid claim to already. There are usually blockchain fees associated with transfering cryptocurrencies but with micro wallets there are no fees so you can transfer small amounts at a time.

Currently the 2 most popular micro wallets to use with crypto faucets are Cwallet and Faucetpay.

Cwallet has a ton of features and is used by a bunch of defferent faucets so that you can withdraw all of your claimed coins to one place.

Faucetpay works with thousands of different faucets but IS NOT AVAILABLE for US citizens.

SWAP/EXCHANGE

Swapping or exchanging crypto means that you trade one coin for another instead of having to sell one and then buy another.

This can come in very handy when using faucets as you can collect coins that you do not want and swap them for ones that you do want to hodl.

It comes in handy and can help boost your coinage especially with the autofaucets where collecting more than 1 coin is a good way to get the most out of the faucets.
